Liquid Culture Instructions
⚡ All-in-One Grow Kit Injection
1️⃣ Sanitize Your Workspace – Wipe down surfaces and wash hands. Use an alcohol wipe to sterilize the injection port of the grow bag and the needle.
2️⃣ Prepare the Syringe – Shake the syringe well to evenly distribute the mycelium. Remove the protective cap and attach a sterile needle.
3️⃣ Inject 1-3mL of Liquid Culture – Insert the needle into the self-healing injection port and slowly inject the liquid culture into the substrate.
4️⃣ Seal & Store – Keep the grow bag in a warm, dark area (70-78°F / 21-26°C) for colonization.
5️⃣ Do Not Disturb the Bag – Allow mycelium to grow undisturbed for 10-14 days before checking for white, healthy mycelium.
⏳ Full Colonization: Typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on strain and conditions.
⚡ Grain Bag Injection
1️⃣ Sterilize Everything – Clean the workspace, hands, and the injection port of the grain bag with an alcohol wipe.
2️⃣ Prepare the Syringe – Shake well to mix the mycelium evenly. Remove the protective cap and attach a sterile needle.
3️⃣ Inject 1-3mL of Liquid Culture – Insert the needle into the self-healing injection port and inject slowly.
4️⃣ Seal & Store for Colonization – Place the grain bag in a dark, warm location (70-78°F / 21-26°C).
5️⃣ Monitor Growth & Shake at 30-50% Colonization – Once 30-50% of the bag is colonized, gently break up the mycelium and mix with the remaining grain to speed up full colonization.
⏳ Full Colonization: Typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on strain and environment.
🧊 Storage & Shelf Life
✔ Refrigeration Required – Store liquid culture syringes at 35-45°F (2-7°C) when not in use.
✔ Shelf Life: Up to 6 months if stored properly.
✔ Before Use: Remove from refrigeration and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours before injecting to avoid shocking the mycelium.
